they should be able to get married, but i guess they could call it something other than marriage because thats religious and between a man and a woman. but if they love eachother they have every right to be legally joined. |

| Posted 5 months ago I don't understand why everyone is so opposed to two people lovin each other. If they want to be together then it shouldn't be anyone elses problem. Come on ppl, don't be so narrow minded! And the fact that they can't have children isn't a factor, even some traditional marriages (a man and a woman) can't have children. Although I don't support a gay couple adopting. A child needs a mother and a father role model. |

| Posted 5 months ago Whales, Chimpanzees, Rats, Dolphins, Porpuses, ect. have all exhibited gay relationships naturally in the wild. Now if these creatures, created by God, are allowed to be free and screw eachother regardless of gender then who are we to stand in the way of some gay people who want to get married? Sure marriage is supposed to be between a man and a woman...that is a Judeo-Christian value that many of us hold dear, but I think we as a society are too quick to forget that Jesus also said not to judge one another and that "he who is without sin, cast the first stone." In reality too many of us are judging gay people and throwing stones at them every chance that we get and our only defense is "Well marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman." or "It's not natural." But descrimination of any kind is certainly not a part of God's plan for humanity. While I may not choose to be gay I still support gay marriage because I don't feel that any people regardless of their flaws should be descriminated against and if God were really homophobic, as some would suggest he is, then he wouldn't let his creations in the wild be gay either. |

| Posted 5 months ago The way I see it is the times are changing to accomodate a suppressed minority once again. It reminds me of the Civil Rights Movement in a way because there are the conservatives, whose beliefs are challenged by the matter, and the liberals, who either require change to live their lives to the fullest, or support the need for change. Now, we look back on the Civil Rights Era and wonder how someone could be so cold as to refuse certain basic rights to anyone of color, but here we are going through the same deal all over again (only with sexual orientation). It will be interesting to see if gay marriage becomes the norm in the future. But, yes, I believe it a change worth making. |

| Posted 5 months ago these are PEOPLE we're talking about, not animals. people like everyone else. like you and me. they have rights, like you and me. and what if you fell in love with someone and you were completely crazy about them, they were your soulmate, and then you find out it's against the law to marry them? would you find that fair? you wouldn't be so quick to insult if you were the one on the outs, now would you? and about 'supporting mistakes'? well, mental illness is MUCH more of a mistake then homosexuality, so what, should we just kill everyone who is mentally disabled? no! because they're people too, and they have rights. |

Actually before the christian world started to dominate, being gay was okay. Being against it is just this meaningless crap that the church tells people to believe. Church is all for love? Where is the love when gays want to get married? I think it's hypocritical and makes me sick. Every person has the right to choose who they want to love, who they want to get married to. And children? Yeah, REALLY bad effect when a child has two parents who love each other, no, rather let junkies and nutcases have children, not gays. That is much healthier for our community. |
