I have an opinion:

For all you Christians... the Bible is not God's word.  It was written by men... and guess what?  Some of them weren't God-inspired.  And who even knows which ones were or weren't?  The Catholic church didn't seem to care about which ones were which when they all got together a few centuries after Jesus died.  They went through and picked which books they wanted to be in the canon for the Bible.  A bunch of priests from the most corrupt religion in the world picked which books they wanted to be represented as "God's word". 

Thus, I am posting this to tell all the people in here that keep saying that Corinthians this and Mark that are God's word that they AREN'T.  There's no God like the one in the Bible.  That God is an angry, selective, biased God with a bad temper and a bad case of hypocrisy. 

I know a lot of people will automatically hate me now, but don't.  It's against your religion.

First; do you have any proof on anything you've written?

How exactly do you know that "A bunch of priests from the most corrupt religion in the world picked which books they wanted to be represented as "God's word"?

Second; The only type of christianity you mentioned is the Catholic church. Does this mean that you're okay with every other type of christians?

Third; "There's no God like the one in the Bible." That's what you think. That's what you believe.

But if you end up dying tomorrow and get sent to hell, that's your frikkin' fault.

Why do you feel sorry for us? We're the ones that can think with our own minds and not with a brainwashed one. I like to make the most of  my free will and not live a life of guilt because I have offended some priest or whatever.

I feel sorry for you because you have no objective in life. You have no guidance nor faith. Your minds will only get you that far. Have it ever occur to you that sometimes a little guidance in life is good for you? That maybe having something there to protect you is a good thing?

I don't know what you guys have against Christianity.

But after you've done all that, then what? You just die and thats it? That's the end of your life? So why go through allt he trouble if you just end up dying and that's it?

Us Christians aren't forced to follow 'some book'. We want to because it gives us a purpose in life. But that's not the only purpose we have. Of course, like everyone else, we want to suceed in life, take care of our family, help those less fortunate...etc. But obeying The Bible is our main purpose so after we've done everything we can do on earth, we know that all our troubles aren't gone to waste.

Oh and by the way, obeying the Bible does not 'guarantee' you to a heavenly afterlife. There's more to it than that.

I find it funny the way people think that as long as you obey the Bible and do whatever it tells you to, you're guaranteed to get to heaven.

I'm so glad my religion teaches that we should believe the bible to be true as far as it is translated correctly, for the same reasons you just posted.

I've read most of the bible and it just seems like an exaggerated story. What facts do you have to prove that God is real? Jesus? The Bible? See, this is where I get all Christians. There are no facts, there is no proof. But that's why they call it faith and beliefs, eh? Oh and, the woman who started this topic is in fact, Christian. So don't think that she is just trying to bash all Christians/Catholics because she is too. I would know, after all, I am her sister.

Okay many scientific facts support many claims in the bible.  I hold no disillusions about the bible and I know that it was written by man for man, but there had to have been some divine intervention somewhere because if we never had the bible at all then we never would have a tool to spread God's outline of life.  I say outline because I don't think the bible is the end all and be all of your faith (granted you are a christian), I think it's merely a conduit to your relationship to Christ in which he reveals to you how you should live.  As far as proof for the existence of God goes...we can't even find more than 10% of the matter in the universe, how can we possibly expect to find a supreme diety such as God?  Now the science isn't there yet, but maybe soon it will progress to the point where we can find more than just physical matter.  And as far as I'm concerned there is no evidence disproving God either.  I mean evolution is a laugh becuase animals evolve and adapt to become better suited for their environment, but if there is no competition then there is no need to evolve.  So in short, Christians are stupid and being hypocrites when they get on their religious high-horse and start looking down on other people (including athiests) and start talking about people going to Hell and Athiests are stupid when they get on their "factual" high-horse and start looking down on other people and start ranting about how they're wasting their time worshipping Gods.

Yes, the only way we even know it exists is relative to the matter we can actually detect.  So who's to say that Omega isn't God in some form?  Yes, evolution describes a process, single-celled anaerobic organism is on earth, slowly becomes multicellular, evolves to become an ameoba type creature existing on the sea, evolves to be able to move, cambrian explosion, evolves lungs, starts to inhabit land, evolves exoskeletons and such, evolves blah blah blah, humans evolve from ape-like creature.  And I haven't heard of transhumanism...care to explain?
